Case study related to one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in Poland

Since 2015 we have been running comprehensive e-marketing SEO activities for a medical industry website. Throughout a 4-year cooperation, they resulted in an increase in sessions by as much as 2051% from organic traffic and by 2173% of revenues from organic traffic. Find out how we managed to do this.

Introduction

The website belongs to the medical industry and the company itself is one of the leading Polish enterprises.
In this entry we summarize our cooperation from December 2015 to December 2019

Main issue

The site operates as part of the medical industry, where it is difficult to use PPC activities. Parties related to this subject matter may not advertise either themselves or any of their products.
Cooperation objectives:

  • Boost website's visibility in free search results
  • Growth in the number of customers
  • Increase in average value of the basket
  • Increase of revenue resulting from free search result

Results

As part of e-marketing activities in the field of SEO, we decided to expand and optimize the website and improve its marketing content. The guidance section has been significantly expanded to respond to the needs and enquiries of users. By increasing and improving the quality of site's content, it started to display more keywords, which in turn resulted in increased traffic and revenue from free search results.
The off-site activities included an analysis of the website's link profiles and competitors. This enabled us to improve quality of links leading to the client's website. Professional and thorough analysis resulted in building and implementing an individual link-building strategy; the website was also optimized for SEO. The website was also optimized for SEO. Results of SEO activities:

The website's visibility in TOP3 and TOP10 was gradually growing as per increasing number of keywords. Despite the first decline after Medical Update, the website has regained its visibility and is now growing regularly.
Visibility in TOP3 from December 2015 to December 2019 has increased by more than 700% 

 

and more than 300% in TOP10.

Increased visibility of the site contributed to an increase in organic traffic from search results and user engagement on the site. There was more than 2000% increase in organic traffic compared to the same period in 2015.

Proper SEO efforts also contributed to an increase in revenue and the number of transactions from free search results. The website recorded over 2100% increase in revenue in December 2019 compared to December 2015. The number of transactions raised over 2400% in the same period.

Conclusions

Since 2015 we have been running comprehensive e-marketing SEO activities for a medical industry website. Throughout a 4-year cooperation, they resulted in an increase in sessions by as much as 2051% from organic traffic and by 2173% of revenues from organic traffic

The biggest challenge in this project was to choose the right strategy tailored to the client's budget. The success was ensured by a proper balance of on-site and off-site activities, as well as through continuous contact with the client.
